The above picture was taken on a clear winter's day of the Peak
Districts only mountain, Kinder Scout. Kinder Scout can be accessed
from the village of Hayfield, in the Borough of High Peak, in the
county of Derbyshire, England. Most of the village of Hayfield sits
within the Peak District National Park and is often described as
being at the foot of Kinder Scout.
Hayfield is the location for the filming of many of the outdoor scenes in the new hit BBC drama The Village staring John Simm and Maxine Peake. The newsagents and the village grocers have been left in the livery as they were filmed during the making of The Village giving the centre of Hayfield a film set feel.
This website has been put together to help walkers, mountain
bikers and all that enjoy the great outdoors, decide if its worth a
trip to Kinder and its surrounding foothills. The camera is located
at approximately 740ft above sea level and 2.5 miles from Kinder
looking predominately at Kinder Low End.
The website will be developing over the next few months. I will be offering advertising space on the website in the
near future. If you are interested or have anything you would like to
see included on this website please email me at the address below.
